Telangana people have to change their code number plate vehicle to TS AP (Telangana state), however any processing fee will be charged for this from RTA. Four months is a period fixed by the Government and all transport rules Andhra Pradesh shall apply in the new state.
TS-Z Series is assigned to the RTC buses while police vehicles receive P9 and T, U, V, W, X, Y series are used for private transport vehicles.

Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana is the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and is a bustling metropolis 400 years old, with an urban population of approximately 6 million people. Hyderabad is famous as the former seat of the fabulously wealthy Nizams of Hyderabad. Built on the banks of the Musi River and surrounded by huge prehistoric rock formations, petrified gray elephants. The district lies between 77 º 30 'and 79 º 30' E, of the eastern longitudes and 16 º 30 'and 18 º 20' N, in the northern latitudes. The boundaries of the district of Hyderabad district are Nalgonda, Mahaboobnagar district, Karnataka state and Medak district in the East, South, West and North directions respectively. The district has a population of 40,10,238 according to the census of 2011, representing 4.73% of the total population of the country with 4.71% decadal growth.

This section presents data on tourist arrivals to Andhra Pradesh from other countries
and other states, during the years 2000 to 2011.
Table- 25.1 Tourist arrivals in Andhra Pradesh and India from 2000 to 2011 are presented
in this table. Tourist arrivals have declined from 15,60,72,409 in 2010 to
15,33,88,552 in 2011 by decreasing 1.72% . It is observed that the number of
domestic Tourists decreased by 1.69% in 2011 over 2010. Where as number of
foreign tourist arrivals in Andhra Praedesh is decreased by 16.75% during the
year 2011 over 2010. There is an increase in the number of Foreign Tourist
arrivals in Andhra Pradesh from 2000 to 2011.
Table- 25.2 Tourist arrivals in 23 tourist centers in Andhra Pradesh for years 2010 and
2011 are presented in this table. Maximum number of Indian Tourists
(5,11,32,421) have visited Chittoor District during 2011. Where as 2,31,503
Foreign Tourists are visited Hyderabad during the same year.
